[GRASS-user] Error in installation of grass64 using cygwin.

Sandip,

A display window opens automatically when you start GRASS. You can open more windows if you click the 'open display' button on the layer manager button bar. Are you using a current version of GRASS?

That is correct. d.mon was for emulating an antiquated graphics terminal in a Linux/unix environment. It is pointless on windows, which is why we developed modern, cross-platform display tools for GRASS. Why do you want to use d.mon anyway? It is not needed for displaying maps.

source compilation using cygwin.
