   On the Web site's development page we read that running 'make pdfdocs'
will produce a programmers' manual from doxygen comments embedded in the
souce code. What that command produces is only a history of the steering
committee decisions.

   There is an on-line (i.e., html) manual; is there one in pdf format
available for download and reading off-line (or even as a dead tree
document)?
