[GRASS-user] cannot import jpeg2000 with osgeo4w GRASS installation

A colleague working on windows has some problems with a jpeg2000 image 
using 6.4.2 installed with osgeo4w.

- QGIS also installed with osgeo4w reads the file without a problem 
(well, it ignores the world file, but that's another issue), indicating 
MrSID Jpeg2000 as format in the metadata

- In the GRASS GUI, the list of formats proposed by r.in.gdal does not 
include jpeg2000.

- In the GRASS command shell, gdalinfo --formats includes the MrSID 
Jpeg2000 driver.

- When running r.in.gdal, she gets "not
recognised as a supported file format" error.

Can anyone explain what might be happening, especially why GRASS cannot 
import the file while QGIS can ?
