IMHO these lines should be removed from the Wiki page:

> --enable-debug \

> --with-motif \

> --with-blas \
> --with-lapack \

> --with-odbc=yes

Maybe the last line may interest a few users (so to be moved to an optional
suggestion on the page). But it should not be made overly complicated.

Since I have no Ubuntu, I'll leave the changes to Nikos or another Ubuntu
user, hence just suggesting here.
