[GRASS-user] dxf export with attributes

I am trying to export a vector point file that has a single label for each point.  In the attribute table the labels are shown as being on layer 1.  However when I export the file using v.out.dxf the labels are all -1.  Is there another step to take before exporting the file such that it includes the label.
