   Perhaps you should look at R <http://www.r-project.org/> if you need
statistical summaries and models of water flows, chemistry, biota, or
other factors.

   You'll find it easier to get answers when you ask specific questions. The
way you wrote your message suggests that you're a student looking for
someone to suggest a research project for you.
