[GRASS-user] d.vect: How to achieve transparency ?

Hi all,

is there a known way to render a vector layer on a GRASS monitor (from the GRASS Shell, not through a GUI) with a level of transparency, except for r.composite-based  workarounds? Any solution for either GRASS7.x or GRASS6.x would be welcomed.
