[GRASS-user] How to remove GRASS layer 2

Hi,

importing a vector layer in GRASS (6 and 7) i found several duplicated 
areas,
and a "layer 2" is also created that stores categories for duplicated.
Is there a way to remove those duplicate areas or to delete the second 
layer?
The "problem" is that after running v.clean with rmdupl tool and exporting
again to shapefile those duplicated areas are still there, i think 
because there is
the second layer that keep them alive (?)
