as the DEM raster you're using isn't that large, may you share the data
(offline)?

e.g. by a compressed geotiff, by e.g. using

r.out.gdal -f input=yourelevation output=outraster.tif format=GTiff
createopt=COMPRESS=LZW,PREDICTOR=2
