hm, with 7.0.4 you will not get relevant info, I fix debug message in
r69481. Could you try 7.0.5svn? You should get:

D3/5: db_driver_open_database(): host = myhost, port = 5432, options =
(null), tty = (null), dbname = mydb, user = myuser, password = mypw
schema = (null)
