Helmut,
I did that before too. Did you also note that it takes "too much" time to
create the Location using the '.tif' file?
As well, trying a few things further, I have seen similar problems such
as the ones Rich mentions (trying to reproject, etc.).
This is why I ended up in using the Shapefile as a source.
