GRASS is open in the project location. The projection and the analysis area
as reported by v.info:

  Projection: NAD_1983_HARN_Oregon_Statewide_Lambert_Feet_Intl |
  N: 1258169.21875257 S: 1256240.48861483 |
  E: 425151.5291319 W: 419924.33674681

I defined a larger area surrounding the existing one as follows (with points
in sequence of NE, SE, SW, NW, NE):

VERTI:
B 5
  426000, 1260000
  426000, 1250000
  418000, 1250000
  418000, 1250000
  426999, 1260000
C 1
  422000, 1255000

The GRASS monitor displays cursor position in easting (longitude), northing
(latitude) order and I don't understand why v.in.ascii reports this error?

v.in.ascii in=location_points.dat out=location_area for=standard --o
WARNING: Unparsable longitude value: [426000,]
ERROR: Import failed

TIA,

Rich
