[GRASS-user] Candidate Statement - Corey White

Dear GRASS Community,

I am honored to be nominated to join the GRASS GIS Project Steering
Committee (PSC). As a geospatial software engineer and researcher at NC
State University, and the founder of OpenPlains Inc., I have been deeply
involved with GRASS GIS over the past years. In my academic role, I have
had the opportunity to engage with many individuals about GRASS GIS,
working to formulate a strategy for its ongoing sustainability.

To ensure the continued success of GRASS, we must focus on developing our
community, maintaining and advancing our codebase, and exploring funding
opportunities. As a member of the PSC, I aim to help guide GRASS in
promoting its strengths and enhancing its accessibility to both current and
new users. Additionally, I am committed to achieving project funding
milestones to alleviate the maintenance burden that heavily rests on our
community's maintainers.
