[GRASSweb-list]how to cut composite color image into smaller pieces.

Hi,

I have mosaiced a few color composit satellite images in a big area. Now I 
need to cut them into standarded mapsheet sizes with a little overlap between 
them.  I tried using mask with r.mapcalc function, but the color pallete 
changed, it does not have the color as original composite image. I am a new 
GRASS6.0 user, maybe somebody can help me with this problem.
