You'll probably have much better luck on the GRASS User's mailing  
list.  This mailing list ("weblist") is about the web site for GRASS,  
with relatively few subscribers.

See http://grass.ibiblio.org/community/support.php for information on  
the various mailing lists.

As a start, I contribute the fact that you can copy the colour map  
from one map to another with r.colors ... but you may want to use the  
other mailing list anyways.
