[GRASS-windows] osgeo4w - grass6.4.0svn1: permission denied for g.proj and g.gisenv

Hello everyone.
I've switched back from Vista to XP (the infamous downgrade...),
because of too much headache with Vista! :)
I'm setting up a fresh new osgeo4w environment on XP, starting from
installing the osgeo4w stack. I hoped to see everything work fine on
XP, but I receive various "permission denied" when executing grass64.
It happens bot for g.gisenv and g.proj (accessing or creating a
location). I thought it could be some obscure problems with previously
created mapsets, but it isn't, as it happens with new ones too...

Before going to dig with debuggers, and so on, doesn anyone is facing it?
