[Ica-osgeo-labs] [Board] OSGeo Student awards for FOSS4G Seoul

dear all,
I agree with Suchit, probably it is to late for Seoul so a backup plan is
needed.
In general in my view, as GEO4ALL asked for money to establish the OSGeo
student award GEO4ALL should supervise and organize the award and push it
in the conferences.
Certainly there are GEO4ALL people involved in the conferences that could
lead this under the GEO4ALL umbrella...
Nevertheless I have some questions:
Did students that want to participate in the award apply for?
Is the award restricted to academic track?
is it in general for young or only for students?
In other conferences there are estabilished procedures we could copy or
take inspiration from (see EGU for instance
