FYI, fot those of you who are not in the general OSGEO discussion list.

This is an interesting opportunity to challenge developers (and
student-developers) in an arena which is not the typical geomatic
one..there are lots of folks from the automotive sector, in-car
technologies, etc.

On the other hand, cars ride on land (except when they drive into rivers
because GPS data mistakenly turned a ferry rout into a street...this
happened some ten years ago...I don't recall the place, but it might be
retrieved), so the geo-aspect comes in.
