On IP checking there are two commercial companies.
http://www.blackducksoftware.com/ - oriented on legal ownership and
such.
http://www.palamida.com/index.html - More of a cataloging tool that
identifies the IP, also management and traceability.
Palamida is a collabnet partner. Both cost money, but I have no idea
how much.
I think however, the right person to talk to us about IP is Rich. It
is up to the lawyers to figure out, right?
