I don't think it matters to much in this context, but when I tabulate
votes for a motion on the mailing list I do it by digging through the
thread I started when I issued the motion, looking for obviously visible
votes.  So it is helpful (if you want the vote counted) to include it in
a reply to the appropriate thread, and to make it visible as you have
by putting it at the beginning of your response.

This most matters if you are veto'ing of course, or if support is in
doubt.
