[Incubator] Question About OSGeo Project Web Space for Incubation Projects

How important is it for an OSGeo Project to have a presence at "
projectname.osgeo.org".

OTB already has a project web site that is well established. Do they have
to migrate? If not, do they need to put an HTML redirect up to their
existing web site from otb.osgeo.org?
