OGC demands that one passes the certification once per year, we do run the
tests each night against our own servers, but the ones we use in the
nightlies are outdated,
and we haven't run the official test in a while (e..g, years).
Also, a reference implementation requires a sample server to be up and
running
all the time, another thing we don't have.

I've been using all my spare time in the last weeks to amend the first, and
have
GeoServer nightly builds run against a more recent version of the tests,
once
we are able to, we can run the official certification tests.
OGC might also looking at hosting GeoServer for the reference implementation
demo server.

So, eventually, if people help, these things will be fixed.
