[Incubator] Application OSGeo Project - Giswater

Dear OSGeo Incubator Committee,

I am sending this e-mail on behalf of the Giswater Association, a 
non-profit one established in February 2014, which resulted as a 
collaboration of various professionals that joined to develop Giswater 
<https://www.giswater.org/software/?lang=en>, an informatic open-source 
tool for the integral water cycle management.

Some of the goals of the Association comprehend spreading open-source 
software values which are applied to engineering and water cycle 
management, but also develop, promote, and universalize the Giswater use.

During the last General Assembly of the Association, on the 30th of 
March 2022, the request to apply Giswater as an OSGeo project was 
approved with unanimity by all the members (companies and individuals 
from the engineering and water management sector) hoping to make it more 
credible among the open-source community, but also improve and grow it 
along with the continuous work which is being developed by the Technical 
Commission, a working group that defines the technological development 
roadmap, new functionalities, and the establishment of a framework for a 
reference training plan.

Therefore, we kindly ask you, how can the process of becoming an OSGeo 
project begin?
