Hello,
It is a known problem, with an unknown solution to us for the moment.
There may be some interference at some point with shared things
between the iTowns instance and DevTools, but we couldn't find a
solution yet.
Note that this occurs only when the camera is far from the globe, and
as it does that only with DevTools opened, we don't make it a high
priority to fix it as it don't impact final users.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Adrien

Objet : [iTowns-user] Globe rotation convulses while Chrome dev tools are open
In Chrome (including the latest version) the globe convulses when the dev tools are open. This can be demonstrated at http://www.itowns-project.org/itowns/examples/index.html. Simply open dev tools (F12 among other keyboard shortcuts will do this) and observe significant jittering when attempting to rotate the globe.
Is there a fix for this behavior? Or a known cause?
It happens on Mac and Windows. It does not seem to be an issue in Firefox. Also, in Chrome, it ceases to be an issue if you zoom in far enough such that the entire viewport is taken up by the Earth.
