We're looking for a top-notch Android developer to help us bring our open
source geospatial platform to mobile users.

The world is seeing an explosion in the amount and variety of
location-based information. At the same time, open source software is
making better analytical tools more widely available.

OpenGeo is at the intersection: we develop open source platforms that make
it easier to manage and share geospatial data.

*Responsibilities*

   - Develop mobile components and applications that leverage the OpenGeo
   Suite
   - Work with customers to gather requirements and propose solutions
   - Participate in robust open source communities that reward great
   engineering
   - Create documentation and provide technical support, helping users get
   more out of OpenGeo software

*You Offer*

   - Outstanding engineering talent proven by great results and significant
   open source contributions
   - 3+ years of Android development experience, and in-depth understanding
   of the Android SDK and its apps development ecosystem, including subtle
   differences between OS versions and manufacturer implementations.
   - Hands-on experience developing and supporting reusable Android
   components. You write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code.
   - Knowledge of GIS/geospatial software, particularly PostGIS, GeoServer,
   and/or OpenLayers
   - Interest in teaching and training others on technical topics
