[Landsat-pds] landsat scenes pre 2017

Hi All,
I am new to this list so my apologies if this question has  been asked.I have done several searches!

When I try to grab landsat data from AWS (this is for a class), I am able to “see” scenes back to 2017. However the metadata tell me there should be data back to 2015.

Example: https://landsatonaws.com/L8/043/034/ <- notice that the data only go back to mar 2017.
Are there data stored in another location or are older data only available in certain areas?
