 so not a good candidate to add to our auto-build script. if we are able to
 grab it I guess we could stash it on download.osgeo.org and fetch it from
 there, but I'd only go to the trouble if there is demand for that. (speak
 up now if there is)

 perhaps the trouble was cvs->svn without the binary file type flag? (so
 \r\n in the image binary data got auto-munged to \n)
