I'll point out we're not a feature driven project, we are a scheduled
delivery based project (A common debate, QGIS is considering schedules
post 2.0). The clearly stated plan, we bundle what's available at each
scheduled point in time for twice a year releases, once for Sept/Foss4g
and once for Feb/Mar conference season. We don't have enough testers at
this time to do it more often.

That said, I don't see why we can't do occasional unoffical, untested
builds (kinda like our alpha stage) especially since we've managed to
get so close to full automation. So I don't see any official release
before 7.5 happening but I could see an alpha or 2 quite early where
more advanced users can grab and try newer stuff (QGIS 2, 64 bit etc).
