Hi Johan,

A possibly related issue I've run into is Lubuntu freezing within a
VirtualBox Virtual Machine, running on an Apple Mac. The freezing seems
to only happen a few minutes after running gvim.

(This is an issue with Lubuntu without OSGeo-Live, and I've needed to
install the gvim package).
