Journal Volunteers,

I've been largely negligent of work on the Journal over the last
couple of months. There has been a lot going on, and I've been
distracted. However, I resolved this weekend to get back on the ball.
I took some time today to organize the wiki page for our next issue,
Volume 9. This issue is supposed to contain the annual reports for
2010. You can view the wiki page here:

http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Journal_Volume_9

I used the annual report from 2009 to expand the table we use to track
the article status for Volume 9. There is now four (4) tables. The
first is for regular articles, of which we have four (4) commitments
at this point. The second is for reports from software projects. The
third is for reports from local chapters. The last table is for
reports from sponsors.

I'll need help touching base with each chapter and software project.
We need to request the reports. You can remind your contact that we
don't need anything long and fancy, as I don't want to be a huge
burden on otherwise busy people.

I can serve as the point of contact for the California Chapter and the
Geotools Software Project. I'll also contact the Spanish Chapter,
since I wanted to talk to them about something else.

Can you please respond to this e-mail if you can contact one of the
other chapters or software projects?

I'll try to grab whoever is left on the discussion mailing list or by
some other method.

Thanks,

Landon

P.S. - I bought a book on LaTex. I'm not making any promises, but you
never know what might happen...
