Request for Information (RFI) Geospatial Line of Business

Here is an opportunity to pitch open source Geo-spatial software  
solutions to the US Federal government.

The US Government has put out an RFI looking for how to proceed on  
Geo-spatial capabilities.

"The US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is asking the  
geospatial private sector for advice on how it should spend the new  
geospatial line of business in the federal budget via an RFI  
questionnaire (direct file link). [Responses due by 5/5/06] "This RFI  
is soliciting information to support the development of a common  
solution for the Federal government-wide Geospatial LoB. Responses to  
this RFI should come from the perspective of being a geospatial user,  
provider or consultant. The RFI is to: Solicit information from  
industry, government, academia, and non-profit organizations on  
strategies, alternatives, and experiences in developing and  
implementing programs and innovative practices that have been  
effective in increasing geospatial effectiveness and efficiency;"
