[MapGuide-Users] MSE Studio Necessary?

There is an OS Studio being worked on. Let me get the rough schedule for
you. The first deliverable is a set of command-line tools, but there's a
web-based loader/creator being worked on as well, as I recall. Bob can give
more details.

Yes, could someone clarify what license Studio will be released/not
released as and does it materially impact using MapGuide Open Source?
(eg. will be be back to writing the equivalent of .map files by hand).
And if that is the case, will the format of the files that Studio
produces be documented and open enough in such a way to make it
possible for an Open Source alternative to Studio to be produced,
given there is enough collective will in the community?
