wms - description with linebreak causes error

I loaded a WMS where the description contains a line break:

When I want to display the WMS the function add_wms produces an error:

add_wms('911','1.1.1','My GeoServer WMS','
This is a description of your Web Map Server.
 
','http://wms1.ccgis.de:80/geoserver/wms?','http://wms1.ccgis.de:80/geoserver/wms?','http://wms1.ccgis.de:80/geoserver/wms?','','image/png','text/html','application/vnd.ogc.se_xml','EPSG:4326','1');

What can we do?
