Sorry for the lateness of my reply, I had been to Barcelona for FOSS4G.

Thank you for sponsoring the development of Mapbender 3. This will be a

Yes, we need a lot of concept work at this stage. Everyone is invited to 
join in. We should take time to look at other solutions and pick 
existing components over developing our own. Everyone, please share your 
ideas and demands, so everything can be taken into consideration. 
Although we won't start coding immediately, it is imperative to 
contribute to the discussion *now*!

Please also join the road map discussion for Q4 (starting at today's IRC 
meeting), where we can discuss in detail.

We have received lots of positive feedback from people at FOSS4G, there
