WFS - Howto available?

Hello list,

I have a problem to set up a wfs-server with mapserver and mapbender (ms4w). I do 
not know, if this is really what I need....

What I need:
search in attribute-Files (I use shapefiles with dbf in my WMS), zoom and highlight 
the corresponding geographical feature.

Is that possible with mapbender/mapserver - and, is there some information (or 
howto) for this available?
