[Mapbender-users] Problems with load WMC when using treeConfGDE

Hi Roland,

it might be that treeConfGDE and WMC have a compatibility problem. A WMC
can only handle WMS with depth 1. This may cause the problem. There is no
solution to this I know of.

To show you how the information about Mapbender is organized, please allow
me to illustrate how it can be found in this case:

1) www.mapbender.org "Modules and API"

2) look up the module that fails (LoadWMC,
http://www.mapbender.org/index.php/LoadWMC)

3) check "known issues"
(http://www.mapbender.org/index.php/LoadWMC#known_issues), follow the link
to Trac (http://trac.osgeo.org/mapbender/report/17)

4) There is a ticket #2 (load WMC fails with deeply nested wms/layer). If
the problem was solved, you would find all necessary information there.

If you were interested in an enhancement that enabled treeConfGDE and WMC
to work together, you would insert a new ticket (register first here
https://www.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/ldap_create_user.py) with type
"enhancement", and describe what you want. Other users can now find this
enhancement ticket (feature request) and might join the development or
funding.

Thanks,

Christoph
