we have done a simple export with a little change of the show metadata modul.
have a look at this:
http://www.geoportal.rlp.de/mapbender/x_geoportal/mod_layerMetadata.php?id=24331
there is a link to a kml file with a wms layer. the file is generated by 
mod_layerMetadata.php and located in the tmp directory.
if you want, i can send you the code.
