Hello list,

Version 4.0 of the OSGeo Live GIS software collection has been released.
In this version Mapbender 2.6.2 is integrated.

Read the press release for more information [2].

At the project page [1] you can download the OSGeo Live GIS software
collection and get all information about the project.

You can watch a 25 minute video describing the 42 contributing GeoSpatial
Open Source applications [3].

OSGeo-Live is a self-contained bootable DVD, USB flash drive and Virtual
Machine based upon Ubuntu Linux that is pre-configured with a wide variety
of robust open source geospatial software. The applications can be trialed
without installing anything on your computer, simply by booting the
computer from the DVD or USB drive.

You also find information about the project in the Mapbender wiki [4].

It is planned to provide the DVD in other lanuages (german, spanisch..).
To push this there is a meeting on FOSS4G next week
[5]. Some translations have to be done. If you are interested to take part
at this translations please come to the meeting or let us know via mail.
