Found in error_log:
[Wed Jan 19 15:38:26 2011] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] File does not
exist: /opt/mapbender_2.6.2/http/extensions/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom/development-bundle/ui/.ui.tabs.js,
referer: http://localhost/mapbender262/frames/login.php

fixed, eliminating the initial point in file name.

 Class 'DOMDocument' not found in
/opt/mapbender_2.6.2/http/classes/class_wmcToXml.php on line 66,
referer: http://localhost/mapbender262/frames/index.php?&gui_id=gui1

fixed, installing php-xml an restarting apache.
