Hallo David,
Have a look at the logfiles in ...mapbender/log - Folder. Is there any
entry in the error - log?
In the variables from printPDF you can set logRequests to true and then
you will get an entry in the acces - logfile.
With copy and paste open the request in a Browser und you could see the
output from the mapserver.
I think the version 3.0 from the mapserver ist old. I use the version 6.
so I can use the debug - function from the mapserver.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen

[Mapbender-users] Printing 288dpi Raster layers problem

Hi
I am having problems printing with my mapbender/mapserver GIS application.
I
am using Mapbender version 2.7 and mapserver 3.0. I am using the PDF print
in mapbender when you select print and then a new window comes up which
says
Download: Map as PDF... and then a pdf comes up when you click the link.
Printing vector and raster in 72dpi works fine. However, printing in
288dpi
I am having trouble with. Firstly, I couldn't print anything in 288dpi.
Now,
I am able to print vector layers fine as I have increased the maxsize in
the
mapfile. However, I am unable to print raster layers in 288dpi, all that I
am getting in my pdf is my boundary lines, which are a vector layer over
my
raster tif. As I said, if i print the same raster in 72dpi, I get the
raster
with the boundary lines aswell in the pdf output.
I am thinking it may be something to do with image types. I have
"IMAGETYPE
png24" defined in my wms.map and also my Metadata "wms_format"
"image/gif",
in the wms.map.
When, in mapbender, I do my update wms, I get the following info:
id:

abstract: This server was setup by **** and is powered by MapServer.

To me, this looks like it should be able to handle any kind of raster
layer.
Is the problem that my raster's are tif's and i have IMAGETYPE png24 and a
"wms format" "image/gif" defined at the top of my wms.map file? Also,
where
are these image types defined that appear when I update my wms.map? Do I
perhaps need an OUTPUTFORMAT defined in the mapfile? or is this defined
elsewhere?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Many Thanks
David Clark
