When Mapbender loads an application the information is taken from the 
database.

Maybe it is really conneted to your WMS with many layers.

1. You could disable some WMS for testing and check the performance
2. Please make sure that in the Application -> Base Data tab the 
checkbox "Persistent map state" is disabled too

There is no app/console command for this.

But you could run an update on the table mb_wms_wmsinstancelayer in the 
Mapbender Database.


The value for column id should stay the same for all layers that do not 
change the name. So you can set all layers to false except the layer 
named latest.

The layer names and corresponding wmslayersourceids are in table 
mb_wms_wmslayersource.
