Hallo Mapbender-Community,

das Mapbender-Entwicklungsteam hat die neue Mapbender-Version 3.3.4 
veröffentlicht. Herzlichen Dank an alle Beteiligten.

Die neue Version enthält neben vielen Bugfixes auch einige neue 
Features.

Folgende sollen an dieser Stelle hervorgehoben werden:

- WMS Update verfügt über 2 neue Optionen, die steuern, ob neue Layer in 
bestehenden Konfigurationen aktiviert/selektiert werden sollen. Diese 
Optionen sind über das Administration-Backend und ebenso über die 
app/console-Befehle wms:reload:file und wms:reload:file verfügbar. Siehe

- Setzen des Status von Layersets. Sofern thematische Layer verwendet 
werden, kann der Status der thematischen Layers gesetzt werden, d.h. 
Thematische Layer können beim Start ausgewählt oder nicht ausgewählt 
sein. Dies wird über eine zusätzliche Option beim Layerset definiert.
- Das Element Einfache Suche (SimpleSearch) wurde verbessert. Es 
ermöglicht nun die Definition von mehreren Suchen, die in der Anwendung 
ausgewählt werden können. Das Kopieren von einzelnen Suchen im Element 
ist möglich. Das Element unterstützt nun auch die Anzeige von Polygonen 
und Linien. Außerdem können Suchtreffer aus der Karte entfernt werden.

- Mapbender liegt nun auch auf Ukrainisch vor. Sie können auch weitere 
Sprachen hinzufügen oder neue Features in bestehenden Sprachen

- Anzeige einer Symbolvorschau in der Symbolauswahl in den Elementen 
Button und Link  (PR#1450)
- [LayerTree] Das Sortieren von Layern ist nun auch auf mobilen Geräten 
möglich (PR#1457)
- [SearchRouter] Wenn nur ein Ergebnis vorliegt, wird jetzt automatisch 
auf dieses Ergebnis gezoomt (PR#1454)
- [ScaleSelect], [ScaleDisplay] Zahlen werden jetzt mit 
Tausendertrennzeichen formatiert. (PR#1453)
- [Ruler] Ein optionaler Hilfetext wurde hinzugefügt. Alle Farben und 
die Schriftgröße sind jetzt konfigurierbar (PR#1463)

Umstieg auf die neue Version
----------------------------
Wir empfehlen ein Update auf die Mapbender Version 3.3.4 und wünschen 
Ihnen viel Spaß mit der neuen Version.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Migrationsleitfaden in die Dokumentation 
[2] übertragen wurde. Er enthält zusätzliche Hinweise für das Update auf 
neue Versionen.

Was kommt als Nächstes
----------------------
Das Mapbender Team plant als Nächstes eine umfassende Überarbeitung des 
Codes und eine Aktualisierung der Komponenten wie z.B. Symfony, 
Bootstrap und jQuery. Außerdem soll die Unterstützung von OGC API 
Features als neuer Datenquelle erfolgen. Die Anpassungen werden einige 
Zeit in Anspruch nehmen, so dass erst Ende 2023 mit einer neuen 
Major-Version zu rechnen ist.

Mapbender Version 3.3.4 released 2023-05-03

Hello Mapbender community,

the Mapbender development team has released the new Mapbender version 
3.3.4. Thank you to everyone involved.

In addition to many bug fixes, the new version also contains some new 
features.

The following should be highlighted at this point:

- WMS update has 2 new options that control whether to enable and select 
new layers in existing instances. These options are available via the 
administration backend and also via the app/console commands 
wms:reload:file and wms:reload:file. See also

- Setting the state of layer sets. If thematic layers are used, the 
state of the thematic layer can be set. I.e. thematic layers can be 
displayed as selected or not selected at startup. This is defined by an 
additional checkbox option in the backend.
- The SimpleSearch element has been improved. It now allows defining 
multiple searches that can be selected in the application. Duplicating 
individual search configurations in the element is possible. The element 
now supports displaying polygons and lines. In addition, search hits can 
be removed from the map. (PR#1446)
- Ukranian translations is available. You are welcome to add another 
language to Mapbender or translate new features into the existing 
languages. Please follow the instruction at

- Icon previews are now shown in the icon selection dropdown in the 
button and link element

- [LayerTree] Sorting layers is now also possible on mobile devices 
(PR#1457)
- [SearchRouter] When a search yields only a single result, the maps now 
zooms in on it automatically (PR#1454)
- [ScaleSelect], [ScaleDisplay] Numbers are now formatted with thousand 
separators (PR#1453)
- [Ruler] Added optional help text. All colors and the font size are now 
configurable (PR#1463)

Upgrade to the new version
--------------------------
We recommend an update to Mapbender version 3.3.4 and wish you a lot of 
fun with the new version.

What's next
-----------
The Mapbender team is planning a major code overhaul and an update of 
components such as Symfony, Bootstrap and jQuery next. There will also 
be support for OGC API features as a new data source. The adjustments 
will take some time, therefore, a new major version is not to be 
expected until the end of 2023.
