I don't think we're going to get a lot of testing of raster without ECW
and MrSID working (I know that at least I don't have any web-ready
images that aren't wavelet-compressed) without it.  Also, I think that
this is an important area to test because of all the changes to deal
with single-threaded providers.

I haven't had a chance to try out MrSID yet.

If this ECW (and MrSID) don't work, my question is, are we OK with
putting out Beta 2 without MrSID and ECW support? 

Did anyone test MrSID?

I think we should put out beta 2 and say that ECW and MrSID support is
currently not working.
