Tom,
What's the migration path from 1.2 to 2.0, especially around
repositories?
If I install 2.0 after uninstalling 1.2, will it take care of the
repository upgrade for me?
Will 2.0 properly import 1.2 (or 1.1, or 1.0) mgp files?
(trying to figure out the easiest way of playing with my existing data
under 2.0)
Thanks,
Jason

Hi,

You should...
1) Install the server and web tier
2) Stop the "MapGuide Server v2.0" service
3) Copy the ExpressionEngine.dll found in the ExpressionEngine.zip
file to C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO
4) Start the "MapGuide Server v2.0" service
5) Load the samples/SheboyganWithFlexibleLayouts.mgp
6) Try out the following URLs:

To get Autodesk MapGuide Studio 2008 to work with MGOS 2.0, you will
need to extract the file in Autodesk.MapGuide.Studio.Site.zip found at
http://download.osgeo.org/mapguide/patches/mapguidestudio/2.0.0/ForAutod
eskMapGuideStudio2008/ to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MapGuideStudio2008.
Note: Studio 2008 does not show the new Fusion ApplicationDefinition
resource in the site explorer.
I've tested out Sheboygan and a few raster formats (JPG, PNG, GIF).
Unfortunately, I just remembered to ask Frank for the ECW and MrSID
format support (FDO moved to GDAL 1.4 so we need new plugins) today so
support for that doesn't exist yet.
Thanks for your time!
Tom
