[mapguide-internals] RE: Project Sponsorship

I'm in favor of using the OSGEO Project Sponsorship.  What we are doing seems in line with what its intentions.

Hi all,

The MGOS community will soon be in need of some funding to support the
hardware/software costs associated with our build/install framework.

While I'm in favour of asking users to just donate to Trevor's PayPal
account (with regular reports), I think that we also need to look at a
more formal sponsorship mechanism for larger amounts and for people that
may want some recognition (and eventually US tax deduction) for their
contributions.

GDAL is using the OSGeo sponsorship program quite successfully, and I
believe that we should follow in their footsteps.  Information on this

Any thoughts?  I'd like to get rolling on this quickly, so maybe a
