This may sound like a silly question but ... why don't remove hard
coded path from code & scripts?

And if hard coded path are necessary, why follow Autodesk product
naming, that change every year?

It is like when FDO-3.3.1 ended up installing in directory FDO-3.3.0
because of an hard coded path.
A total mess and a lot of unneeded "stupid-but-difficult-to-solve"
not-found problems.
