Yep. Check out from Linux and run an svn export to create a clean tree. The line endings change and I think the Linux checkout also makes a difference on the execute permissions for the various shell scripts.
This might take me a couple of days. I don't have a Linux development environment set up at the moment. I should probably install VMware on my extra Dell box and go from there. Not a big deal. Just more busy work.
I wonder if we should leave the existing Windows build VM at 2.1 instead of moving it to 2.2? I suspect the community will want an MGOS 2.1 patch at some point.

It would be great if we could post a tarball of the source checked out
on linux (I think line-endings etc change?).
Not sure if would be better to just zip up including .svn directories
(good starting point) or to export from local repo for a cleaner tree.
Maybe both :)
