[mapguide-internals] DWF Viewer - discontinue?

I agree with you Jason. Removing eMap for 2.3 is reasonable. I think we need to keep DWF as a plotting format and it would be appropriate to add PDF as an output format. DWF and PDF support should exist side-by-side for at least one release.

We will need to update a number of our third party libs to support GCC 4.4. We can include DWF TK in the update.

Regards,
Trevor

Subject: [mapguide-internals] DWF Viewer - discontinue?

Hi all,

Given that the DWF viewer no longer works with current versions of Design
Review, is there any reason for us to continue supporting streamed DWF?

I think it's likely important to continue offering a high-fidelity output
format, and unless core PDF support is forthcoming, it's likely important to
continue support for DWF plots.

My personal opinion is that it would be best to remove the eMap stuff for
2.3 and, if ADSK is willing, upgrade to the latest DWF TK at the same time.
 Preferably adding georeferencing support :)

Jason
