Hi Edu,
The mgserver.sh script sets some environment variables before running the mgserver executable. If you add the variables to your environment, the mgserver executable should work.
Regards,
Trevor

Subject: [mapguide-internals] The coordinate system initialization failed
Hi all.
Can someone please help. I have installed mapguide os 2.2.0 in a fresh
ubuntu 9.10 machine (timezone Europe/lisbon), with the new released script.
Everything went fine until I try to start the server.
If I use ./mgserver I receive this message
(3018566496) The coordinate system initialization failed.
Mentor path is correct. Everithing seems fine, but server stops immediately.
If I use ./mgserver.sh I receive
(3018316640) Server starting...
(3018316640) Mentor Coordinate System Library
(3018316640) Server started.
And I am able to connect to the server.
What Am I missing?
Thanks in advanced.
Best regards
Edu
