I wonder if support for FDO "If" expressions would be a more robust solution for the future.  The override seems a bit like a workaround and only allows for "one" override.  I found a thread from a few years ago related to FDO "If" expressions.  A nested if/else block could provide 3 or more "overrides".

Having separate content (url link) and a description (user visible) fields is definitely a good idea.
